About the Artist

Artist Andrea Garber

A self-taught artist, Andrea’s current work focuses on alcohol inks, handcut paper, and pen & ink drawings, sometimes combining the media to create unique pieces.  Her years of experience drawing highly detailed fine-line drawings enable her to bring a level of detail to alcohol ink works in a unique way.  Now her original designs are available on her handmade coasters and cards through her shop, and on a variety of personal and home decor items through production partners Society6, and RedBubble.

Artist’s Statement:
Drawing was my first passion.  I have always loved creating, making something that didn’t exist before.  I’m happiest and most comfortable in the creative process.  Most recently, I have delved into combining alcohol inks with handcut 3D paper scenes, which I love making.

I believe art should bring people joy when they see it and be accessible to everyone; this philosophy is what drives the type of art I create. Art can bring a bit of respite and comfort in and make people feel good when they see it.
